WOW! What an amazing week. This week is my first experience with working remotely with a developer in another country. The attention to detail is amazing and I think the new cart will be too! Below is a screenshot of the Project Management tool we have been using. This tool is how I have been communicating other than phone. It seems to work well because they work at night, post questions and I answer them in the morning.

These are exciting times. After reading Timothy Ferriss’ “4 Hour Workweek” this summer, I decided to test some of his methods out. I have been playing around with the Elance service with great results. I had a custom contact form built for $50 and a PHP bug fixed for $60. I have decided to take on one of my “wish list” projects for one of my clients. This project involves hiring a PHP programmer from India for 6 months and working remotely with that person.

It is amazing to me how organized, polite and professional the people from India have been so far. And so far, from the work I have seen America is in trouble.

This project will begin in a few weeks and I will keep you posted on how this is going.
